Francis Guinan has been a member of the renowned Chicago-based Steppenwolf Theatre Ensemble for 30 years. With Steppenwolf he has appeared on Broadway in August: Osage County, winner of the 2008 Pulitzer Prize for playwriting, and The Grapes of Wrath, winner of the 1990 Tony Award for Best Play.
His many other credits with Steppenwolf include roles in The Crucible, The Diary of Anne Frank, and The Cherry Orchard. He has also worked extensively in film, television, and radio. He has appeared with the Pacific Symphony in the Hiawatha Melodrama, a Longfellow reading, conjoined with Dvořák’s New World Symphony, created by Michael Beckerman and Joseph Horowitz.
