Born in Taranto, the soprano Maria Rosa Rondinelli studied singing with Antonella Tatulli, Nicoletta Ciliento and Amelia Felle, graduating from the Conservatory of Bari. She has collaborated with the Associazione Musicale della Magna Grecia Egidio Pignatelli on important productions, among them Rota’s Oratorio, performed in the Rome Basilica of Santa Maria sopra Minerva. As a pupil of the European Lyric Academy, she made her début in Galuppi's Il filosofo di campagna (Lesbina) at the Van Westerouth theatre under the conductor N. Scardicchio and the direction of N. Ciliento. She has given numerous concerts, appearing in Rome's Villa Torlonia and Teatro di Marcello. As a baroque soloist she has collaborated with the Orchestra del Settecento, conducted by G. Semeraro. She has won numerous national and international competitions, as well as third prize at the Rolando Nicolosi International Competition and a special prize awarded her by the Rotary International Club of Taranto. In addition to her musical studies, she earned a University degree in Conservazione dei Beni Culturali from the University of Lecce.
