The Turkish pianist Alpaslan Ertüngealp was born in Istanbul in 1969 and graduated at the Liszt Academy in Budapest in 1993. He made his professional début in Turkey at the Istanbul Festival in 1993 and has recorded for Turkish Radio and Television as well as for Hungarian Radio and Television. He has been a soloist of Hungarian Radio since January 1994. As a conductor he has directed orchestras in Hungary, Russia, London and Turkey, and from 2001 to 2004 was Principal Guest Conductor of the Savaria Hungarica Symphony Orchestra.
