Heroic tenor Michael König has performed at numerous opera houses including the Semperoper Dresden, the Opéra National de Paris, the Bayerische Staatsoper, the Gran Teatre del Liceu, Barcelona, the Teatro Real, Madrid, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, the Teatro alla Scala, and in Hamburg and Berlin, and at the Bayreuther Festspiele.

His voice and powerful stage presence has seen him perform roles including Florestan in Fidelio, the title role in Wagner’s Lohengrin, Siegmund in Die Walküre, and the Emperor in Richard Strauss’s Die Frau ohne Schatten. König has performed with the London Philharmonic, the London Symphony and the Vienna Philharmonic orchestras, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the San Francisco Symphony, the Berliner Philharmoniker, the Bamberger Symphoniker and the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks.

He has worked with conductors such as Gustavo Dudamel, Christian Thielemann, Andris Nelsons, Daniele Gatti, Seiji Ozawa, Daniel Barenboim, Vladimir Jurowski, Gennady Rozhdestvensky, Hartmut Haenchen, Sebastian Weigle, Teodor Currentzis and Christoph von Dohnányi.
