Julia Muzychenko studied singing in her home city of St Petersburg, making her debut at the Mariinsky Theatre in 2015. From 2019 to 2021, she was a member of the Young Ensemble of the Semperoper Dresden, where she played Musetta (La Bohème), Olympia (The Tales of Hoffmann) and Sandman/Dewman (Hansel und Gretel).
Muzychenko was awarded honours at the distinguished Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels in 2023 (Third Prize) and at the Montserrat Caballe Competition in Barcelona in 2021 (Second Prize).
Further commitments include Violetta at the Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Juliette (Die tote Stadt) and Papagena (Die Zauberflöte) at the Semperoper Dresden and The Swan Princess (The Tale of Tsar Saltan) at the Opera National du Rhin.
