Lidia Fridman, born in 1996 in Samara (Russian Federation), completed her first studies at the local music institute. She moved to Italy in 2015, where she completed her studies in Udine and Venice. She is 1st prize winner of intern. Competitions and was nominated as „Young Artists of the Year“ at the 2021 Opera Awards.

She began her career performing in concerts and operas and made her acclaimed debut at the Teatro la Fenice in 2019 in the title role of Albinoni’s La Statira. The crowning glory of her first year of debuts in bel canto leading roles was the world premiere of Donizetti’s L’Ange de Nisida at the Donizetti Festival in Bergamo. Her most recent and future engagements include the debut in the title role of the new production of Norma at the Théâtre de la Monnaie, the title role in Lucrezia Borgia in Trieste and Aalto Theatre, the title role debut in Il Segreto di Susanna at the Konzerthaus Berlin under the direction of Felix Krieger, Verdi’s Lady Macbeth on tour in Italy, Don Giovanni at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, a gala concert at the MÜPA Festival, the title role debut of Strauss’ Salome as well as concerts and operas throughout Italy.
