Acclaimed guitarist Andrea De Vitis has performed in prestigious concert halls across the world, including at the Liszt Academy, Budapest; Shanghai Grand Theatre; Krakow Academy of Music and The Sheen Center, New York. He has also given masterclasses at prestigious festivals, academies and conservatoires including Conservatorium Maastricht, California State University and Staatliche Hochschule für Musik, Stuttgart.
De Vitis has won over 40 prizes in various international competitions, including from Guitar Masters and the Guitar Foundation of America, and has also received a special artistic medal from Senate of the Republic, Italy. De Vitis is an active recording artist, and his albums have been critically acclaimed in the international press, including in Soundboard, Amadeus Magazine, Gendai Guitar and Melómano.
A supporter of new works for the guitar, De Vitis has given the world premieres of numerous pieces dedicated to him, including music by Giorgio Colombo Taccani and Angelo Gilardino. He is also very interested in the transcription process, and has published his versions of pieces by Johann Sebastian Bach and Enrique Granados (Les Productions d’OZ).
