Tenor Michele Angelini made his European debut at the Rossini Opera Festival, and appeared in the world premiere of Benoit Mernier’s Frühlings Erwachen at the Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie, Brussels, which was also released on the Cypress Records label. He has appeared at major opera houses including The Metropolitan Opera, the Bayerische Staatsoper and the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden.
e was awarded First Prize in both the 2010 Savonlinna Opera Festival and the 2012 Gerda Lissner Foundation International Singing Competitions.
Performances in the 2018–19 season included Il barbiere di Siviglia at the Staatsoper Berlin and Il viaggio a Reims in Moscow. After recording Corradino (Matilde di Shabran) at Rossini in Wildbad he recently sang Ramiro at Teatro Real, Madrid and in Medea at Bergamo Donizetti Festival.
