The artistic director of Musica Ficta, Bo Holten, belongs, as a choral conductor, to the world elite, having from 1990 to 2005 been a regular guest with the BBC Singers and many of the best professional choirs of Europe. He founded, and directed Ars Nova Copenhagen from 1979 to 1996, and in 2008 was appointed Chief Conductor of the Flemish Radio Choir in Brussels.
