Russian tenor Georgy Vasiliev made his debut in 2009 as Ismaele in Nabucco at the Kolobov Novaya Theatre of Moscow, where he continues to play major roles as an ensemble member. In Germany, he has made guest appearances at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, Stuttgart Opera and several times at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein.
International commitments have taken him to the Australian Opera, the Grand Theatre de Geneve, the Teatro Municipal de Sao Paulo, to the Palm Beach Opera and, recently, as Count Vaudemont (Iolanta) at the Volksoper in Vienna.
Vasiliev also appears regularly as a concert soloist, most recently in Rachmaninov’s The Bells, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, Bruckner’s Te Deum and Janáček’s Glagolitic Mass.
