After graduating in engineering, Christian Helmer went on to train as a singer and pursue a career in opera. He has appeared in various roles, including as Guglielmo in Così fan tutte, in the title role of Don Giovanni at the Festival d’Antibes and Le Bret in Alfano’s Cyrano de Bergerac together with Plácido Domingo. He appeared with Roberto Alagna in Le Dernier Jour d’un condamné and has performed at the Théâtre des ChampsÉlysées, the Opéra National de Paris, Opéra de Lille, the Opéra de Saint-Étienne and the Opéra-Comique.
