Jader Bignamini is music director of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and resident conductor of the ‘Giuseppe Verdi’ Symphony Orchestra, Milan. He made his symphonic debut in Milan in 2011, and has since embarked on an international conducting career that encompasses both symphonic and operatic repertoire. He has appeared as a guest conductor with the Houston Symphony, Minnesota Orchestra, Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Osaka Philharmonic, Metropolitan Opera, Wiener Staatsoper and Bayerische Staatsoper.

Bignamini is passionate about symphonic repertoire, and engages in deep explorations of different genres such as contemporary music in order to compare and contrast compositional techniques. He discography includes several collaborative projects with eminent artists such as Anna Netrebko, Yusif Eyvazov, Juan Diego Flórez and Marina Rebeka.
