The Chorus of Dutch National Opera includes 50 singers and is regularly joined by freelance choir members for larger productions. The choir has already achieved many milestones, including performances of Saint François d’Assise, Lady Macbeth of the Mtsensk District, Ercole amante, Boris Godunov, La Juive, Les Troyens, Parsifal and Guillaume Tell, as well as concert performances of Der fliegende Holländer in Rotterdam, Paris and Dortmund. In the 2017–18 season, the choir sang in La forza del destino, Eliogabalo, La Bohème, Tristan und Isolde, The Rake’s Progress, Das Floß der Medusa, Gurre-Lieder and Les Contes d’Hoffmann.

During the 2018–19 season the choir was praised for its part in Enescu’s OEdipe. The choir was named Best Opera Choir 2016 by the prestigious magazine Opernwelt.
