Founded in 2012 by Laurence Equilbey thanks to the support of the Département des Hauts-de-Seine, Insula orchestra has been in residence at La Seine Musicale since April 2017, where it selects part of the programme for the venue. A period instrument ensemble, it presents repertoire from mainly the Classical and Romantic eras. The orchestra performs throughout France and abroad at prestigious venues and festivals. It is supported by five founding entities: Carrefour, the Fondation d’Entreprise Michelin, Grant Thornton, Meludia and W. Materne, who support the orchestra’s educational endeavours.
