English-born bass Thomas Faulkner studied at the University of Cambridge and the Royal Academy of Music. Recent highlights include his debut as Masetto (Don Giovanni) at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, and Osmin (Die Entführung aus dem Serail) at Staatsoper Hamburg. Currently a member of the ensemble at Oper Frankfurt, appearances have included Alidoro (La Cenerentola), Swallow (Peter Grimes) and Lord Walton (I puritani). On the concert stage, Faulkner has performed as a bass soloist in Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 with the Dresdner Philharmonie, Haydn’s The Seasons with the Nürnberger Symphoniker and Verdi’s Requiem with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, among others.
