Born in Bologna, Silvia Beltrami began her vocal studies with mezzo-soprano Luana Pellegrineschi and perfected her technique with tenor William Matteuzzi. She took her diploma in music at the Arrigo Boito Conservatory in Parma, and is currently working with the renowned soprano Raina Kabaivanska. She has made numerous début appearances in recent years, in rôles ranging from Amneris in Verona to Carmen in Magnitogorsk. In 2004 she won the As.Li.Co Singing Competition in Milan and made her début as Charlotte in Werther under Jean Luc Tingaud, leading to a number of successful appearances in Italy and abroad.
