Gian-Luca Zoccatelli was born in Verona and studied in Mantua, Padua and Bologna. As a flautist he worked with the Verona Arkén Ensemble, from 1994 singing with the Este Athestis Chorus in Italy and abroad in collaboration with leading conductors. His career has brought appearances in a variety of rôles in operas by Monteverdi and in September 2006 he undertook the rôles of Acate and Pirro in Cavalli’s Didone under Fabio Biondi with the Europa Galante orchestra at La Fenice in Venice.
