Born in Lyon, and the holder of a Master of Law degree, Julien Behr made his international debut in 2009 at the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence as Orphée in Offenbach’s Orphée aux Enfers. Since then, he has made notable appearances, including Tamino in Die Zauberflöte—his debut at the Paris Opéra National—Arbace in Mozart’s Idomeneo at the Salzburg Mozart Week and at the Theater an der Wien, Acis in Handel’s Acis and Galatea at the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence and at the Teatro La Fenice, Venice, Gonzalve in Ravel’s L’Heure espagnole at the Barbican, London, and performed in a number of concert engagements.
