The tenor Sung-Keun Park studied at Yon-Sei University in his native Seoul prior to continuing his vocal training from 1996 to 2000 at the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin. In 1994 he won the vocal competition of the San Francisco Opera Center and in 1996 he was a prize-winner of the Jung-Ang Vocal Competition in Korea. As a participant in Münchner Singschul’ 2000 Sung-Keun Park worked with Eberhard Büchner and Marcello Viotti. In the same year he became a member of the ensemble of Theater Freiburg, where among the rôles he sang were Mozart’s Ferrando and Tamino, Nemorino (L’elisir d’amore), Edgardo (Lucia di Lammermoor), and Lenski (Eugene Onegin).
