The mezzo-soprano Daniela Sindram was born in Nuremberg and studied in Berlin and in Hamburg with Ute Niss and Judith Beckmann, continuing in masterclasses with Brigitte Fassbaender, Anna Reynolds, Christa Ludwig, Lieselotte Hammes and Aribert Reimann. As a student she held several scholarships, in 1998 receiving the scholarship of the Richard Strauss Association and in 2001, in recognition of her artistic achievement, the Kurt Hübner Prize. In 2006 she was awarded the Festival Prize of the Bavarian State Opera and the prize for performance of the Bavarian State Ministry.
