Jane Glover is music director of Chicago’s Music of the Baroque and artistic director of opera at London’s Royal Academy of Music. From 1981 to 1985 she was music director of the Glyndebourne Touring Opera, and from 1984 to 1991 she was director of the London Mozart Players.
Jane Glover has conducted all the major symphony and chamber orchestras in Britain, as well as orchestras in Europe, the US, the Far East and Australia; she is in demand on the international opera stage, with regular appearances in London, Berlin, New York and Chicago. Her recordings include discs with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, London Mozart Players, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the BBC Singers. Jane Glover’s book Mozart’s Women was published, to great critical acclaim, in September 2005. It was nominated for the Samuel Johnson Prize for Non-Fiction and the Whitbread Prize.
